I had a nightmare this morning, I haven't had one this year. I used to dream scary, dark dreams frequently, but this year they'd receded away. I certainly hadn't had the "jolt awake feeling stressed out" kind of nightmare for yonks.

In the dream I was one of 4 friends - one of whom would unexpectedly change into a werewolf, with fangs, but furless (actually looked more like a vampire, except that instead of sucking blood he would tear you apart).

There was some sort of super-hero 'save the world' theme to the dream, which is not unusual for me.

Anyway, I was walking alone across what seems like an British college campus going to a 'safe house' when I met up with this friend. We have a pleasant conversation for a short while until suddenly he looks at me and starts telling me to get far away from him. And then his fangs come out. There's lots of people around, and I run from him towards the house. He accosts a young brunette woman, but she reveals her own fangs and snarls, "you fool! I'm the same as you!". So he turns back to running for me.

Meanwhile, I've reached the door and am putting the key in the lock (you know that feeling you get when you're really scared and you know it's really important to get the damn key in the lock so don't fucking miss?), turn the lock and run in, slamming it behind me just in time.

I walk into the house towards the kitchen in the back, but there's no-one around. I only see a full dinner being cooked with large pots brimming with stews and soups. Only there's no cook.

And then I wake up, every nerve jangling.

Maybe it was the maggi mee I ate last night before sleeping at 1.30am - only I dreamt this at about 8am, so I'm doubtful.

Sometimes crawling back to reality is very very hard. I don't want to over-think things but I'm wondering what my subconscious is trying to tell me.

The doughnuts outside Hock Choon when they're hot are amazing.

Better than Krispy Kremes. They literally melt in your mouth and are just the right mix of savory and sweet. Also, they're huge - about 6 inches in diameter

But at $2 each or $5 for 3, they're not cheap

(Plus I felt sick yesterday because I ate two within one hour)

It was my birthday and I spent the majority of it with B. We had a great day even though :

- I walked far too far in my high heels along Bukit Bintang

- The japanese place we ate dinner at sucked

- We watched The Banquet, and it REALLY sucked

But somehow, being with B, even though he sometimes sucks (not in a good way either), still made me happy.

Maybe i was just in the mood for happiness!

Yesterday night my brother took me to see the 11.30pm showing of The Devil Wears Prada.

I loved that he arranged it and went with me, just because I mentioned it on the weekend.

Sometimes, my little brother makes me very happy.

The flight back home today wasn't full and I got a whole nice empty seat next to my aisle seat.

Plus, Malaysian Airline's TV / Movies on demand is pretty much the only thing MAS is better than Cathay at. There was a lovely episode of Little Britain from the new season.

Who's the only geh in the vill-aage then?

Little Britain always makes me happy.

That today I wore my hair down (with an Alice band) and my mother hasn't complained about it yet.

It was going to be that I had laksa for lunch, but the laksa wasn't very good (tough, dry chicken and only meehoon - no mee).

It's Sunday today and early this morning (i.e. 2am) I watched Project Runway (season 2 re-run, the episode with Nicky Hilton).

I love this show SO much! (although I hardly get to watch it, as I don't have time to watch tv)

But I am happy I got to watch tv at all.

I also had a 45 minute thai foot massage today and it was fantastic - although I ended up tipping my boyfriend's masseur twice, because goddamit the boy didn't tell me he'd already tipped her (neither did I ask).

I woke up this morning feeling delicious. You know those days where for no particular reason you wake up and the sheets feel smooth, you stretch hugely on the bed, and it feels like all your senses woke up for no particular reason?

It was one of those days, even though the feeling only seems to last about 5 minutes.

A fully functional body.

Or at least the potential to be one. Mostly I seem to use it to sit on my ass, which is not a good state of affairs.

Still! Synapses all fire, senses all sense and bruises all heal.

There's nothing like having one's own fully functional body.

So having one made me happy today!
